The Huffington Post continues its proud tradition of humanizing Palestinians and dehumanizing Israelis through their choice of pictures to illustrate their articles in two of its most recent articles.
The HP covered the news of the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt being permanently open. Since we're talking about Gaza, the narrative is talk about the poor suffering Gazans. What picture did the HP chose for this article?
Naturally, the little Palestinian girl looking cute and helpless. How can anyone not support her cause.
Compare that picture to a news article the HP published around the same time about Israel preparing for border clashes, in which the body of the article indicates Israel will be on the receiving end of violence:
The picture is a bunch of faceless soldiers standing around. The message is clear: Palestinians are humans, Israelis are not. Huffington Post bias clearly illustrated through pictures.
They'd never use these photos of people waiting at the Egypt border.
