The Iran Two-Step

There are many things we still don't know about Iran's nuclear capabilities: How far are they along, are they still intending to develop weapons, if they get weapons do they intend to use them, and so forth. What we do know is that almost to a man the anti-Israel Huffington Posters all fanatically endorse the Iranian nuclear program and will attempt to shout down anyone who disagrees.

Where the two step comes in is when they try and explain why they side with Iran in all this. The most common defense for Iran is this:

That Iran is a peaceful country that would never want to attain nuclear weapons. Then we have this:

That Iran would not pose a threat to Israel and even if they did, they aren't working on a bomb anyway.

And finally we have this:

Them finally coming clean and admitting that not only does Iran have weapons but enough weapons to wipe Israel out completely. The irony that this proves the Israeli leaders correct that Iran is in fact an existential threat to Israel is completely lost on them.

It's becoming clear to me that the Huffington Posters will simply say anything, whether it is true or not, to win recruits to their pro-Iran and anti-Israel point of view. We have seen it with the Arabs for years, we are now seeing it with Iran too.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
