Holocaust Cynicism Returns

The Huffington Post published a very interesting story the other day about a wealthy man named Sheldon Adelson who decided to donate 25 million dollars to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Israel. The comments in general were very interesting, as there was discussion about whether this was the best use of his money and the role of the "1%," to which Adelson certainly belonged.

Other posters, of course, took the opportunity to grind an ax against the Jews, despite the full moderation of the thread.

I like the implication there that all one has to do is give money to Israel and they'll become a "peaceful nation." Freudian slip?

And then of course we got the "what about X" crowd.

Lastly, there's the straightforwardly anti-Semitic comments.

All in all, just another day on the Huffington Post.
