MJ Rosenberg Calls Us Out

Last night, out of a clear blue sky, I saw this tweet from our old frenemy MJ Rosenberg:

It's not that I don't mind the free advertising, but when we get insulted by a Huffington Post blogger, I want to have done something to deserve it! But we hadn't written about Rosenberg for two weeks. When I pointed this out to him, I saw that he had blocked us:

I don't want to speculate, but if I must, I can't help but wonder if something happened elsewhere that made him mad and so he looked around for a dog to kick. If so, always happy to provide.

  1. Nice of him to give you the free publicity. I suspect he will come to regret it if his followers actually follow the link and see some of the reasons you have taken issue with him.
For a guy that has no problem broadly smearing his opponents, he seems to have a bit of a thin skin. (No surprise that he would rather insult and belittle you rather than address any of your criticisms.)

  2. Probably he's upset because the Girl Guides cancelled his order. ;-)

Turns out he's an empty shell. Admits he gets most of his ideas wholesale from mondoweiss.

  3. LOL. What a wuss Rosenberg is.
My guess? He can dish it out, he just can't take it.
He obviously only likes cheerleaders, not those who call out his lies
and BS. I would totally take the blocking as a compliment.

    @Rosenberg. GROW UP YOU BABY.

  4. MJ is just feeling lonely, now that even the Girl Scouts have acknowledged that Media Matters is biased.
Girl Scouts to stop linking to Media Matters
“Girl Scouts constantly reviews our materials based on feedback and suggestions we receive from our members and we update our materials on a regular basis,” said the statement. “As a result of this process, upcoming reprints of journeys materials will not include links to Media Matters.”

  5. Have you guys ever seen this video with MJ

  6. Well MJ can add awful public speaker to his CV.

It figures he’d be on a panel with Stephen Walt. I wonder if Walt passed around his Libya holiday snaps?

Is Stephen Walt Blind, a Complete Fool, or a Big Liar
Overall, the remarkable improvement in U.S.-Libyan relations reminds us that deep political conflicts can sometimes be resolved without recourse to preventive war or "regime change."

  7. For the next time MJ says ‘Israel Firster’.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
