HPW User Profile: PostHuman

The user PostHuman has been around since September of 2010 but only came to our attention recent only the Grass thread. In many ways he's the classic Huffington Poster: Radical leftist attitude, loves Occupy Wall Street, hates the US military and everything associated with it (and not ashamed to admit it), and of course "anti-Zionist" attitudes eventually morphing into anti-Semitism, including flirting with Holocaust denial and "overepresentation." His most common accusation is to Nazi-bait Jewish people no matter the context, often accusing Israel of committing genocide. But don't worry his anti-Semitism is even more blatant than that as you will see.

PostHuman has about 550 posts and 55 fans. Context will be necessary for most of these comments as like most veteran Huffington Posters he knows to keep his biases subtle. Usually.

“And visual arts aside, what has Jewish culture given the rest of the world that non-Jews would really be sorry to see burned from the earth?
I'll let you think about that one, rest assured, there are many people thinking more and more about that with each passing day of the financial crisis and Mideast forever war.” [In a thread about Hitler’s art collection]

“You simply cannot question the legitimacy of the actions of the most powerful and privileged people in the world and expect to have your career intact.”

"I love how everyone on this thread who is tearing their hair out over "innocent civilian deaths" probably turns a blind eye to the fact that the IDF kills more than a hundred Palestinian civilians for every one Israeli killed.
That and it really is questionable whether there is such a thing as an Israeli civilian (other than the Orthodox who do not serve) being that there is a universal military requirement for Israelis."

"Because, to Israelis, money is worth more than life. They expect the rest of us to have the same standard."

"As 2.5% of the American population, Silbiger notes that 23% of the full list of 400 people on the Forbes "Rich List" are Jewish, as are 36% of the top 50."

“And your people deserved every pellet.
You know what I mean.” [click for context]

“I just hope I live to see the day when the world finally gets over its guilt complex vis a vis the most privileged ethnic group in the world.”
Link

“Because what I said is inaccurate?
*forms fingers into a steeple and smiles*
Oh, do tell me which is the most over-represented ethnic group in proportion to world population in the finance sector and that all-important "one percent."
Please, oh please try to answer that one with a straight face.”

“Just like the Jews should get over something that happened seventy years ago.”

“He does remember what happened last time, and has taken that lesson and put it into practice. That lesson was that if you want to get rid of someone, all you have to do is eliminate them systematically while denying it the whole time.”
Link

“You do understand that this attitude is undermining support for the state of Israel and is engendering and legitimizing antisemitism worldwide, don't you?”
Link

“You know I'm not saying the Holocaust didn't happen. I am saying Holocaust denial is just as legitimate as denial of crimes perpetrated by Israel in Palestine (where the Palestinians live). Just because you don't recognize Palestine as existing, or the Palestinians as people doesn't mean it doesn't and they're not.
Attitudes like this is why sympathy for the Jewish cause is slipping worldwide.”
Link

“It is sickening to me that a culture of people who have come through events like what happened in Europe in the 1940s cannot seem to grasp that killing civilians is wrong.”
Link

“Jews should know better.”

“I could say the same thing about Germany and it would be just as true.” [click for context]

“You are essentially an invader for the sake of liebensraum. You and the Gunter Grass of his youth have a lot more in common than you'd like to admit.”
Link

Heh, it's a gas.
Too bad it wasn't more of one one upon a time.
Link

“You do realize this is why antisemitism is on the rise. Not only this behavior, but the excuses, like yours.”
Link

“As is committing genocide and targeting civilians when you're the first ones to shriek about how awful it was for you three generations ago.”
Link

“It is just alarming and sad that those who should know best the importance for the struggle for human rights are often the first to deny it to others. Examples include the virulent heterosexism in the black community, and even more shockingly the genocidal behavior of Zionist Jews which began immediately after the Holocaust.” [click for context]

“Well, there was a lesson learned, unfortunately it was the wrong lesson. The lesson learned was that military force and extermination of another race is a good way to secure living space, Israeli policy reflects this lesson well.”
Link

“And guess who makes up an extremely disproportionate percentage of the one-percent.” [click for context]
Link

“You mean like how they totally didn't flee from genocide in what is now Israel? They sure went back there in a big way, exterminating those who stood in their way.
So....yeah, about that.”
Link

“Because any negative word said about Israel or Jews is tantamount to Nazism.
Y'all are doing it again. Didn't you learn anything last time?”
Link

“I wish you were too. Although I wish you were an Afghan civilian in Bales' crosshairs, then perhaps you would learn a tiny bit of perspective.”
Link

“You still made no argument regarding the morality of keeping the main Holocaust memorial a memorial to Jews only.”
Link

“You are the reason anti-semitism continues to exist.”
Link

“I think the continuing stigma has more to do with the fact that it was Jews who were killed rather than the simple killing.
I mean, come on, in the US we still have Confederate flags everywhere and the "cowboys & indians" narrative is still, shamefully, romanticized. Do you think things would be different if either of those victims had been Jewish?”
Link

“Actually, it is the Roman salute, started some millennia before Hitler. But you might be sued by the ADL for saying so.”
Link

“Yeah, well so is white phosphorous on women and children.
If you don't want to see more of this, stop doing that.”
Link

“Well, looks like it didn't even take a century for anti-Semitism to have a material reason to exist again.”

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
