Nancy Kaufman Gives an Inch, HPers Take a Mile

HP blogger Nancy Kaufman, CEO of the National Council of Jewish Women, has written a blog post for the HP about the "increasing examples of gender segregation" in Israel, most notably in the beloved Palestinian talking point of haredi buses. This is an important issue in Israel, and Kaufman does a good job laying out the facts of the case and what Israel has done in the past to battle gender discrimination. I recommend you read the essay, it's very good.

But naturally, any article on Israel, and especially an article on Israel that is critical of some aspect of Israeli society, means that HPers can come in and declare Israel to be the worst place on Earth. Take a look:

There was a time when I was willing to admit Israel has problems on the HP. I don't do that anymore. Because anytime I acknowledge Israel has problems, I get twenty comments like these. Because Israel can't be treated like every other country in the world, it's in a league of its own. But don't call these commentators anti-Semitic.

  1. Huffponican Feminists should hope there's a law near them soon where men can have sex with their dead wives a la Egypt.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
