Unchecked campaign contributions is something that liberals do not like. One of the most common complaints one can find in the "Politics" section of the Huffington Post is complaints that the rich are taking over the country. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise then that the Huffington Posts' editors shamelessly try to combine their readers hatred of rich people with their hatred of Jews and the Jewish state. We saw that in the Irving Moskowitz thread and now it's time for round two.
Sheldon Adelson is a name you've probably heard before. He's a rich guy who gives money to right-wing causes. This alone would probably earn him the ire of the Huffington Posters. So when the Huffington Post covered a story about Adelson giving $5 million dollars to Republican candidates, that's pretty much I would expect would happen.
But no. You see even though the fact that Adelson is Jewish and (I guess) an Israel supporter did not appear in the article even once, approximately one out of five comments tried to make hay over the fact that he is both of those things. Here are some examples just for the first two pages at the time I am writing this post:
But remember, there's no anti-Semitism on the Huffington Post.
