CotD: "Talmudic Lessons"

The Huffington Post covered former Israeli PM Olmert's statement that Jerusalem should be divided. Check out a comment posted on the thread that was not in response to anything (click to enlarge):

Even assuming this person is telling the truth, there's still at least seven people on the HP that think "stealing and lying and murder" are OK for Jews to do if it helps Jews.

Even beyond the anti-Semitic implications of this comment, why is it being posted on an article about Jerusalem in which an Israeli PM espouses a moderate position? Because any article related to Israel means HPers can post attacks on Israel/Jews/Judaism as much as they want.

  1. There's not a single passage in the Talmud that would actually sanction even a fraction of that insidious statement. Those are lies, par excellence... in fact, it explicitly commands:"What is hateful to thee, do not unto thy fellow; this is the whole law." (From the Shabbat Tractate 30a).

  2. Just whom does this moron think he is kidding? The only time that this non-Jew set foot in a Jewish school was when he and his racist pals vandalized one.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
