More Bloody Shirt Waving From the HuffPo

The Huffington Post covered this sad story yesterday, but as usual the truth is not sad enough for them:

If you aren't already familiar with this story basically what happened is that during Cast Lead a house containing 21 Palestinians (no word on whether they are militants or not) was shelled and they were killed. The news of the hour is that the Israeli military investigated the incident and found that it did not happen due to any criminal misconduct.

Naturally the Huffington Posters were quick to call it a whitewash, but they would say that if Israel did anything less than execute everyone from Benjamin Netanyahu all the way down. I'm not sure what to think about the story myself. Israeli soldiers would have nothing to gain and everything to lose from intentionally killing more than twenty Palestinian civilians, so there is no motive there. In situations like this I go back to my usual standard of judging others: what would my country do or has done in similar situations? I know that America does stuff like this all the time so it would be pretty hypocritical of me to demand more from Israel.

That being said, take a look at that picture again. We get our crying Palestinians in a funeral just like always. Of course, the caption says that "according to Palestinian sources" the people in the picture were killed by Israel, which means nothing.

And as we all well know, the number of Huffington Post articles showing Israeli victims of violence or Israeli funerals continue to stand at exactly zero. The bias remains as transparent as ever.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
