HPW: Holocaust Memorial Defaced

The Huffington Post covered the news of the entrance to Yad Vashem being defaced with "anti-Zionist" graffiti such as "Hitler, thank you for the Holocaust," "Jews, wake up, the evil Zionist regime doesn't protect us, it jeopardizes us," and, "If Hitler hadn't existed, the Zionists would have invented him." Since the graffiti was "merely anti-Zionist" most of the Israel haters stood in support of it. And there was plenty of Holocaust cynicism as well. Take a look:

  1. The Graffiti wasn't "just" anti-Zionist. There were anti-Mizrahi postings, as well as a general condemnation of Jews.
Still it just goes to show you that one would much rather the HP didn't cover an event so tragic as this, for you have demonstrated the hate-fest that it can produce, with amazing alacrity.

  2. After a series of disgusting and despicable "comments" posted by a new sock puppet,
I would only say that I would urge each and every one of you to please not only flag such
vitriol, but to report the user as well.

This particular poster in question is "I hate paying Dues".
Although the comments were flagged, one was removed and reposted 5 minutes later,
new ones keep coming….all HuffPo "approved by moderation".

here's an example of his/her posts:

    Hahahahahaaaaaa

this comment was removed after one hour, and reposted w/o the "Hahahahaaaa" just 5 minutes after removal of the first one.

What's the difference between a Jew and a pizza?
Pizzas don't scream when they are put in the oven!

What's the difference between boy scouts and Jews?
Boy scouts come back from their camps.

These comments remain well over an hour after being flagged, and reported.

  3. These Huffpo posters are delusional, not to mention moronic and sick. I salute you for willingly going through the filth in order to expose them, my stomach gets too queasy.

  4. Update: "I hate paying Dues" was finally banned, but the comments remained for hours.
The comments were flagged, and reported, numerous times before being removed, and
    the poster being banned.

I would still urge everyone to flag and report, each and every time comments as disgusting and despicable as these are posted, and approved by moderation.

Unfortunately, it is only a matter of time until this poster returns with another screen name.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
