The Future of Palestinian Activism?

"A man has been charged with indecent exposure after a streaker ran naked across the front of the torch convoy as it travelled through Henley.
The streaker had "Free Tibet" written on his back and ran a short distance past crowds waiting to see the torch relay beside the River Thames.
Daniel Leer, 27, from Henley-on-Thames has been released on bail to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on 25 July.
Officers tackled him and covered him up, said the BBC's Priya Patel."

  1. OT, but…speaking of terrorist actions, we all know about the upcoming Olympics and the 40th anniversary of the Munich massacre. And we also know about the IOC's continued refusal/denial of "One Minute of Silence" at the opening to honor and remember those Israeli athletes and coaches that were the victims of terrorism.

So, an update, and *Big shout out to Bob Costa*s who f'n ROCKS!

"At the July 27 Opening Ceremony from London, Costas plans to call out the IOC for denying Israel's request for a moment of silence acknowledging the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes and coaches at the 1972 Games. On the 40th anniversary of Munich, it's a decision he finds "baffling." When the Israeli delegation enters the 80,000-seat Olympic Stadium, Costas will stage his own protest: "I intend to note that the IOC denied the request," he says, modulating his voice as if he were on the air. "Many people find that denial more than puzzling but insensitive. Here's a minute of silence right now."

  2. The naked gentleman has an unfortunate last name for someone with his proclivities. Props for the effort, though.
