Through Twitter I found an interesting video containing interviews with ordinary people in Gaza. It's in Arabic but if you hit the "closed captioning" button Google Translate produces something that more or less gives you the idea:
Anyway some observations.
-Obvious, it's not exactly a giant prison camp. The people aren't starving or clinging to life.
-The thing about West Bank/Gaza rivalry is interesting.
-I notice that no women were interviewed, and barely seen.
