Israel Takes Out Terrorist in 1988, HPers Cry Murder

Yesterday, the state of Israel finally admitted it was responsible for the assassination of Khalil al-Wazir, deputy to Yassar Arafat, which took place in 1988. The Huffington Post covered the news, and lo and behold, was able to find a picture of the victim to use in the article!

How incredible that they can find a picture of a terrorist who died over 20 years ago but couldn't find a picture of Daniel Viflic or Christine Lukan.

If you're not familiar with this guy al-Wazir, as I wasn't, the article helpfully informs us that he organized numerous attacks against Israeli civilians including "a 1978 attack on an Israeli bus that killed 38 Israelis" including 13 children.

But despite this track record, and the fact that he was a soldier and part of an organization at war with Israel, the HPers immediately cried "murder."

Of course, when President Obama orders the mission to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden, no one accuses him of "murdering" anyone. But that's because the HPers aren't quite as willing to defend the murderers of Al Qaeda as much as they defend the murderers of Hamas and the PLO.

There's also everyone's favorite talking point: That Israel killing someone who killed 38 of their people is "state sponsored terrorism:"

Naturally, there was also some anti-Semitism and attacks on Israel's existence on the thread because why not:

Murderers defended and Israel's existence attacked, all approved by the moderators Just another day on the Huffington Post.
