Sanity Reigns (For Now) On the Huffington Post

If you've been on the Internet you probably saw that Israel finally returned fire on Gaza, killing the head of Hamas' militant wing. Naturally, the Huffington Post brings the bias:

But even in an article where the killing was referred to as an "assassination," (a term they have never used to describe American drone attacks on Al Qaeda), the Huffington Post couldn't stop mainstream Americans from recognizing what happened here: Terrorists shot at Israel, Israel shot back:

Unfortunately the haters, as always, tried to creep inside, and they still may:

But for now, the Huffington Post readership has reacted the way most Americans would, so let's give them credit for that.

It's kind of funny: who would have imagined President Obama's policies of killing terrorists from 10,000 feet in the air using drones and killing them without trial (Osama Bin Laden) would work out in Israel's favor? It's pretty hard for the anti-Zionists who lean left to try and make the case that Israel is wrong for doing what America has been doing for the past four years, and we see their struggle very clearly in this thread.

  1. I wouldn't be so sure about your last paragraph. A lot of the far left types (really so far left they're on the right) actually are very opposed to the Obama administration's program of assassination of terrorists. I have seen them loudly proclaiming this at protests and they have a significant online presence. They will see no incompatibility between their rabid anti-Zionism and America's use of targeted assassinations.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
