Hamas Perfume Gets Double Coverage On the HuffPost

The Israel obsession on the Huffington Post is something we joke about pretty often on this blog, and it has now appeared that the Huffington Post has gotten in on the joke themselves. You see, while people are dying in Syria and children go hungry in Mali, the Huffington Post has decided to give double coverage to a story about a prefume created in "concentration camp" Gaza that celebrates the M75 rockets that fire onto Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

First there was the blog post by Anav Silverman, which Matt already commented on earlier today. And then there was a news article about it, completely with a proper picture (if a somewhat sarcastic headline):

'And according to Gaza shop owners, it's the smell of victory.
"It's only natural to use something like a victory to market our goods," explained Abu Ahmed, the owner of a shop selling the explosive-inspired perfume, to AFP.
"People are proud that we were able to hit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem with this M75 rocket and this name is much talked about and liked by people here," he said.
Shadi Adwan, the owner of the cosmetics company responsible for naming the product, described the fragrance as "pleasant and attractive, like the missiles of the Palestinian resistance, and especially the M75." He told the Palestinian daily Al-Resalah that the goal was to "remind citizens of the victory wherever they may be, even in China."'
Funny how 90% of Hamas' raging against Israel gets completely ignored, but perfume gets two articles.

Now you may be wondering how the "Palestinians can do no wrong crew" hoped to defend this, seeing as how the Huffington Post readership made it clear in the top favorited articles just how revolting this is. Naturally, they just deflected onto Israel. The most prominent examples come from troll and known bigot Tony Andrews:

Here's hoping the trend of criticizing the Palestinians will continue.
