Terrorism Increase? US/Israel Blamed

The Huffington Post covered a story about a study made by the University of Maryland about terrorism (not Islamic terrorism, get it right) and how it has increased four fold since the 9/11 attacks. Here's how they determined what is a terrorist attack:
"The researchers used the University of Maryland definition of "terrorism": "the threatened or actual use of illegal force and violence by a non-state actor to attain a political, economic, religious, or social goal through fear, coercion, or intimidation". It did not include casualties from government-backed action such as aerial bombing or other killings."
Naturally this made the Huffington Posters very upset, because it means they couldn't blame their favorite targets in the West for it. So many of the top favorited comments at the time I wrote this made sure not to hold terrorists (no matter their religious persuasion) responsible for their actions.

Always good to let the lefty flag fly every now and then.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
