Today's Photo Bias: Settlement Construction Ahead

It kills me to say it, but for most of the settlement threads in recent memory, the Huffington Post has not chosen a biased picture. Usually the picture is just of buildings, dehumanizing of the people who live in those buildings, but not actively opposing them. On Friday's settlement thread, though, the Huffington Post went all out to find a biased picture:

Right away, the lie that the land is "illegally occupied" is pushed through the picture. The HP might have had a case that the settlements are illegal, but it has no case that the occupation is illegal.

The caption for this photo is: "Palestinian protesters attached a placard on a wall in front of Israeli soldiers, not seen, during a demonstration in the West Bank village of al-Masara near Bethlehem, marking the recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state by the United Nations, Friday Nov. 30, 2012."

Nothing to do with settlements, everything to do with the biased message the Huffington Post is pushing.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
