Making the rounds on Twitter right now is a statement by MJ Rosenberg, Israel hater and Huffington Post blogger. What is it?
Really? Isn't that fascinating. First of all, I'm pretty sure that lying to the Senate is something of a faux pas, especially when your job is on the line. It might even be illegal, I'm not sure. Regardless, why would anyone want a liar to be Secretary of Defense? How does saying that help Hagel get his job?
Secondly, not only is Hagel lying but he's lying about being pro-Israel. What's the problem there? The Huffington Post, which is the last bastion of Rosenberg's credibility, has been pushing that Hagel is pro-Israel for some time. But now with one tweet their own blogger has wiped all that away. Not only is Hagel is a liar, he is actually anti-Israel. This makes Rosenberg happy, but I doubt it would make the Huffington Post editors happy.
This is assuming, of course, that Rosenberg is actually telling the truth. I can't help but wonder if he is still looking for attention now that most of his legitimacy is gone. Twitchy also carries his latest round of anti-Israel tirades, including where he admits to being a "self-hating Jew."
