Saudi Arabia Prepares to Execute Petty Criminals, HPers Support Saudi Arabia

In another classic example of shifting standards on the Huffington Post, the HP covered the news of Saudi Arabia preparing to execute prisoners for the crime of robbery. According to the article, the prisoners claim they were tortured into confessing, had no access to lawyers, and were juveniles at the time of the robberies.

You might expect all the righteous, human rights activists on the Huffington Post to come out with furious anger at this obviously screwed up justice system, but instead, most of the top comments were the verbal equivalent of shrugging and walking away. There were less than 100 total, so it didn't take many favorites to be a top comment. Here's some examples:
