Arianna Huffington Post Admits HP Bias

In a recent Politico article, spotted by Huff-Watcher:
"Such responses have earned widespread praise from the proponents of expanded background checks, but others question such advocacy can still be defined as honest journalism.“I call it crusading journalism in the spirit of Upton Sinclair,” Arianna Huffington, the president and editor-in-chief of Huffington Post, told POLITICO, adding that she was proud of her editors."
Admittedly this was on gun control and not foreign policy, but it's like to know that the spirit of spin remains strong.

  1. One does not change personality traits. If Arianna is making it a point to say that she is behind and "proud of her editors", it only stands to reason that she is behind and "proud of her editors" in every stance and opinion.

The editors were hired to work for the Huffington Post based on a *likeness* and *similarity* of views, if not, they wouldn't be working there.
So whether she states so specifically or not, of course her editors share the same views on foreign policy and she is "proud of her editors" on that front as well. They are her "crusaders", they speak her mind, her agenda, her thoughts and feelings, without her having to put her name on it.

Does anyone think they would still be working there if Arianna were not in overall agreement with their positions on issues and what they say????

That is a great, great question. I think I have an answer, in part.

On Friday, Bill Maher, on whose every word HuffPost hangs, and often posts throughout the weekend, called out a HuffPost blogger and professor (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brian-levin-jd/radicalization-dzhokar-tamerlan-tsarnaev_b_3116466.html) who claimed that Muslims are no more prone to violence and terror than other religions.

Yet for some reason, HuffPost failed to post that. Just a simple oversight, I'm sure.

Just like ignoring the rockets that have been fired into Israel from Gaza in the past few days. Just like the rock incident that left a 3 year old in the West Bank clinging to live, with traumatic brain injury. Just like... you know.

They are of one mind, just like in 1984. No dissent, or there's hell to pay, as Arianna's roadkill admit, after the fact.

Hey guys we've started to employ a slight comment policy. We used to have completely open comments but then people abused it. So our comment policy is such: No obvious trolling or spamming. And be warned: unlike the Huffington Post we actually enforce our comment policy.
