Teacher Fired for Jew Hating Assignment, HPers Side with Teacher

You may or may not be familiar with the story of the Albany high school teacher who told her students to write an essay about why Jews are evil in order to understand the Nazis. The Huffington Post published the news that this teacher was fired. Naturally, all of the Huffington Posters agreed with the teachers, because they are so open to alternative ideas. Some even tried to make the case that the teacher had First Amendment rights to teach her students whatever she wanted and that firing her was a violation of her freedom of speech.:

  1. The article said the teacher was placed on leave until school board makes a decision. The penalty will range from a reprimand to being fired.
