The Huffington Post covered Helen Thomas' death on Saturday with four articles about it. Obviously her statement that the Jews should be denied the right of self-determination in their homeland factored prominently towards the end of her life, tainting a storied career. Although that did not come up as much in the top favorited comments as we expected, what is most notable is how quickly her statements were changed.
The Huffington Post readership didn't want to face facts that Thomas has a serious, serious prejudice against Jewish people and Israel, so they repeated what they did at the time: Just mindlessly parrot that she was "criticizing Israeli policies" when she said that all Jews should "go back to Germany and Poland."
