After attacks on Israeli soldiers from Gaza, the IDF has responded. No word of either incident on the Huffington Post:
The Israeli Air Force destroyed two hidden rocket launchers in northern Gaza Thursday in response to high trajectory fire aimed at IDF soldiers earlier in the day.
“Launching rockets against Israel and its civilians is a breach of our sovereignty. We maintain the right to operate against those who are involved in terror,” Lt. Col. Peter Lerner of the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement. The IDF added that Hamas would be held accountable for any future attacks on Israel, though the terrorist organization, which has ruled Gaza since a violent takeover from the Palestinian Authority in 2007, has not taken responsibility for the Thursday attack.Palestinians had fired two mortar shells from Gaza earlier in the day, targeting IDF soldiers who were patrolling along the border. There were no reports of injuries or damage from the attack. The IDF troops were in an area opposite the central Gaza Strip, near Khan Younis.
